Aled Evans

Aled Evans is an experienced procurement professional with a diverse background in technology and service management. Currently serving as Category Manager - Technology at the Met Office since September 2019, Aled has previously held roles such as IT Buyer at The Open University, where responsibilities included leading procurement for various IT initiatives, and Service Manager - IT and Professional Services at Somerset County Council. Aled's earlier experience also includes roles at Highways England, where procurement was conducted for the CHARM programme, and at the United Kingdom Hydrographic Office, where Aled led significant procurement projects and managed a team of buyers. Aled holds a degree in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from the University of Oxford.
