Helen Barker

Helen Barker is a Senior Account Manager (Water) at the Met Office, a position held since January 2024, and previously served as a Sector Support Account Manager. Prior to joining the Met Office, Helen worked at Camargue from March 2022 to January 2024, where roles included Account Manager and Senior Account Executive. Helen also gained experience at the University of Gloucestershire as an Accommodation Allocations Adviser and LTI Advisor from September 2020 to March 2022, and worked at Gloucestershire County Council as a Library Assistant from February 2016 to March 2022. Earlier roles include a Sales Team Member at Oliver Bonas and a Visit Day Ambassador at the University of Reading, along with serving as a Sixth Form Learning Mentor at Gloucester Academy. Helen holds a Bachelor of Arts in Politics and International Relations from the University of Reading and completed A Levels in English Literature, History, and Politics at Newent Community School.
