Laura Young

Laura Young is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in stakeholder engagement and communications. Since August 2013, Laura has served at the Met Office, holding various titles including Senior Strategic Stakeholder Engagement and Insights Manager, Strategic Stakeholder Relationship Manager, and Chief of Staff to the Executive Director of Government Services. Additionally, Laura is the lead for the Public Weather Service, focusing on communication with devolved governments, utilities, energy, renewables, and education. Prior experience includes roles as an Account Executive at Camargue and Communications Officer at Plymouth Hospitals NHS Trust, along with serving as a Press Officer at SSE plc. Laura holds a BA Hons in Public Relations from University College Plymouth and an Award in Education and Training (Level 3) from Exeter College.
