Mark Gibbs

Head Of Government Resilience Services & Head Of Space Weathe at Met Office

Mark Gibbs has extensive experience at the Met Office, where since April 2019, Mark has served as the Head of Government Resilience Services and Head of Space Weather. Previous roles at the Met Office from 2003 to 2019 include Head of Space Weather, where Mark led the development of the UK's space weather prediction capability through the Meteorological Office Space Weather Operations Centre (MOSWOC), Business Manager for Government Business, overseeing relationships with governmental customers in atmospheric dispersion and CBRN, and Head of Health Forecasting, where Mark developed health forecasting services. Mark's educational background includes attendance at Bablake School in Coventry from 1978 to 1986.
