Jordan Wharton has a diverse work experience history. They began their career in 2008 as a Crew member at McDonald's Corporation. In 2011, they worked as a Low Voltage Technician at Claypool Electric Inc., Technology Services Group. Their responsibilities included pulling and terminating CAT 6 and fiber cables and installing various components. From 2011 to 2015, Jordan worked as a Network Technician at South Eastern Ohio Voluntary Education Cooperative. In this role, they provided LAN, WAN, and wireless support to member school districts in the South-Eastern Ohio area. They also provided IT consulting and cooperative purchasing services. Jordan then became a Network Coordinator, where they oversaw the day-to-day network operations of the SEOVEC datacenter. In 2016, SEOVEC and four other ITC's merged to form META Solutions, and Jordan transitioned to the role of IT Project Manager. In addition to managing various IT projects, they were responsible for managing Category 2 E-Rate projects, which included equipment purchases, installation, and managed service contracts. Jordan also served as a Network Technician II at META Solutions, overseeing network operations at the META Athens data center and providing support to customer networks.

Jordan Wharton obtained an Associate's degree in Computer Systems Networking and Telecommunications from Hocking College between 2009 and 2011. In June 2016, they also obtained a certification in JNCIA-Junos from Juniper Networks.
