Akaash Patel

Akaash Patel is a data engineer with experience in various roles, including an internship at Meta focusing on Messenger and recommendation systems. Akaash worked as a quantitative trading researcher at the New Jersey Institute of Technology, where trading algorithms were explored using Python data science tools. Additionally, as a machine learning researcher at the same institution, a project aimed at improving sonar systems for naval submarines was completed, utilizing advanced techniques such as Principal Component Analysis and machine learning methods to achieve high accuracy in seabed sediment characterization. Akaash also gained software engineering experience through a co-op position at Johnson & Johnson in the Global External Innovation - Data Platforms team. Akaash holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from the New Jersey Institute of Technology, obtained in 2023.
