Akshat Agarwal

Akshat Agarwal is a Machine Learning Research Scientist at Meta since April 2024, focusing on training Llama to be proficient in numerous languages. Prior to this role, Akshat served as a Staff Machine Learning Engineer at Nuro from December 2021 to March 2024, where responsibilities included building machine learning systems after a managerial period. Akshat also held positions as a Senior Tech Lead Manager and Tech Lead Manager, Perception, contributing to projects involving computer vision, object tracking, and trajectory prediction. Academic experience includes a Master's degree in Robotics and Artificial Intelligence from Carnegie Mellon University and a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur. As a co-founder and CTO of Agilo Technologies, Akshat led the development of an open-source electronics platform that achieved significant crowdfunding success.
