Amy Cummings

Amy Cummings, Ph.D., has an extensive background in education research and policy analysis, including roles as a Research Associate at the American Enterprise Institute, where a multi-state study on informal teacher exit practices led to a peer-reviewed publication. As a Graduate Research Assistant at Michigan State University, Cummings contributed to a six-year evaluation of Michigan's Read by Grade Three Law, informing state policy for over 300,000 K-3 students. Cummings has led program evaluations and research projects as an Independent Contractor for Reach Out and Read Michigan and a Senior Analyst at Abt Global, with a focus on enhancing early literacy initiatives and computer science interventions. Experience also includes teaching high school social studies with a data-driven approach to improve instructional strategies and current work as a User Experience Researcher at Meta and a Certified Travel Advisor at Fora Travel.
