Areeb Hyder

Areeb Hyder is a skilled Software Engineer with diverse experience in various tech companies. Areeb built web-based tools for physicians at the Ontario Medical Association and contributed to the development and launch of the Loyalty+ program at Ritual.co. At Amazon Web Services, Areeb focused on infrastructure optimization for AWS Kinesis, while at AlertDriving, Areeb enhanced internal APIs, improving data retrieval speeds by five times. Areeb worked on internal tools to minimize storage costs at OpenText and designed a convolutional neural network for object detection at WATonomous, achieving a top 15 placement in the SAE AutoDrive Challenge. Areeb further developed data infrastructure to predict human emotions from snaps at Snap Inc. Currently, Areeb is working on the future of Business Messaging at Meta. Areeb holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Computer Engineering from the University of Waterloo.
