Director & Head of Ads Business, India at Meta

Arun Srinivas has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies. Arun is currently the Director & Head of Ads Business at Meta, where they oversee revenue functions for advertisers and agencies in India. Prior to this role, they served as the Director & Head of Global Business Group at Meta, responsible for revenue generation from large advertisers and agencies in India.

Before joining Meta, Arun held the position of COO and Global CMO at Ola (ANI Technologies Pvt. Ltd) from 2019 to 2020. In this role, they managed the India business, including marketing, revenue, support & experience, and all mobility categories. Arun also successfully launched the Ola London business and achieved the position of the second-largest ride-hailing company in London within four weeks.

From 2017 to 2019, Arun worked as an Operating Advisor at WestBridge Capital Partners. Arun led the consumer vertical and played a crucial role in evaluating new investment opportunities and scaling up existing portfolio companies in the distribution/marketing sector. Notably, they led the team that made significant investments in Indian Personal Care companies, Vini Cosmetics and Enrich Salons.

Arun's career started in 2001 at Unilever, where they held various leadership roles. As the Category Vice President - Foods South Asia, they led the Foods business in South Asia and contributed to its growth, market share, and profitability. Arun also served as the Vice President of Skin Care & Makeup and Beverages categories, responsibly managing top brands and achieving P&L objectives. In addition, they held several general management and sales positions during their tenure at Unilever.

Earlier in their career, Arun worked at Reebok, where they held marketing and sales positions, including Marketing Manager, Regional Sales Manager, and Product Manager.

Arun Srinivas pursued their education in a chronological manner. Arun completed their high school education from Bhavan's Rajaji Vidyashram, specializing in Science, from 1982 to 1990. Following this, they earned their Bachelor of Science degree in Physics from the University of Madras, studying from 1990 to 1993. Arun then pursued a post-graduate diploma in Marketing from the Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta, from 1994 to 1996. In 2007, they attended the Northwestern University - Kellogg School of Management for an executive education program focused on Strategic Customer Management.
