Bowen Meng

Bowen Meng is an experienced leader in artificial intelligence and machine learning, currently serving in an engineering leadership role at Meta since 2019. Prior to this position, Bowen was the Director and Head of AI at a medical AI startup from 2018 to 2019, where responsibilities included leading teams focused on deep learning and computer vision for medical image analysis. Bowen's earlier experience includes a role as a Research Engineer at Zoox Inc. in 2017-2018, where the development of a state-of-the-art computer vision model for autonomous driving took place. Additionally, Bowen worked as an Applied Researcher at LinkedIn from 2015 to 2017, focusing on machine learning solutions for product recommendations. Educational qualifications include a Ph.D. and two Master's degrees in Electrical Engineering and Financial Mathematics from Stanford University, as well as a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical Engineering from Tsinghua University.
