Brian Chao

Brian Chao is a Ph.D. student in Electrical Engineering at Stanford University, with a focus on computational imaging and 3D reconstruction under the supervision of Gordon Wetzstein. Currently, Brian serves as a Student Researcher at Meta, working on next-generation VR displays and neural rendering at Reality Labs Research. Previous roles include Research Scientist Intern at Meta, Deep Learning Solution Architect Intern at NVIDIA, and Undergraduate Research Assistant at National Taiwan University, where Brian contributed to various notable publications in holography and light field displays. Alongside research, Brian has experience as a teaching assistant for courses in Virtual Reality and Machine Learning.
