Brian Heredia, PhD, is a seasoned data scientist and machine learning engineer with extensive experience in the energy sector and advanced technology applications. At Duke Energy Corporation, Brian served as a Senior Data Scientist from January 2022 to June 2024, where innovations included anomaly detection for predicting component failures in renewable energy systems and the establishment of a backend ETL pipeline. Prior to this role, Brian worked at NextEra Energy, Inc. as a Data Scientist, focusing on machine learning solutions and managing a team to develop an end-to-end parts management system utilizing facial recognition and RFID technology.
