Chung-Wei Lee has a robust background in research with experience from several leading tech companies. As a Research Intern at Meta from January to May 2022, Chung-Wei focused on knowledge distillation, self-distillation, and ensemble methods for tabular data. At DeepMind, from September 2022 to January 2023, research efforts centered on contextual low-rank bandit. In 2024, Chung-Wei joined WorldQuant as a Researcher, developing a data-to-alpha AI platform and previously creating alpha strategies based on various data types. Additional internships include work on Multi-objective Recommender Systems at ByteDance and hierarchical preference elicitation at Google. Currently, Chung-Wei serves as a Research Scientist at Meta. Educational qualifications include a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Southern California and a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and Mathematics from National Taiwan University.
