Cynthia Deitle, JD, LL.M, has extensive experience in civil rights law and advocacy, serving as Director of Civil Rights Reform at the Matthew Shepard Foundation from May 2017 to February 2021, where management included overseeing communication and programmatic teams and engaging law enforcement on hate crime training. Prior to this role, Cynthia held various positions within the FBI, including Unit Chief for Civil Rights, where strategic initiatives such as the Cold Case Initiative were developed, alongside earlier roles as Supervisory Special Agent and Special Agent, focusing on civil rights investigations. Currently, Cynthia works as Director, Associate General Counsel at Meta, and serves as an Adjunct Professor at Roane State Community College and the University of Miami School of Law, co-teaching a course on criminal civil rights investigations. Academic accomplishments include a Bachelor of Arts from The Ohio State University and multiple advanced law degrees, including LL.M. degrees from The George Washington University Law School and New York University School of Law.
