Derek Kitagawa is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in consumer insights and market research. Starting as a Graduate Research Assistant at Purdue University, Derek progressed to roles such as Research Director at 2CV and Research Associate at J.D. Power and Associates. At Netflix, Derek held multiple senior positions, including Senior Researcher and Senior Research Manager, and was a founding leader of Netflix’s Games initiative, ultimately serving as Head of Games Consumer Insights. Currently, Derek leads Marketing Insights for Wearables AI at Meta. Derek holds an MBA from Pepperdine University's George L. Graziadio School of Business and Management and a B.S. in Psychology from California Lutheran University, graduating Magna Cum Laude.
