Douglas Lanman

Douglas Lanman is a seasoned expert in display technologies, computational photography, and human-computer interaction, with substantial experience in both academic and industry settings. Douglas served as a Postdoctoral Associate at MIT Media Lab, focusing on computational display systems, and later held significant roles at NVIDIA and Meta, currently acting as Senior Director of Display Systems Research. Lanman has conducted research in various capacities, including work on 3D scanning and advanced imaging techniques at Mitsubishi Electric Research Laboratories and Los Alamos National Laboratory. Educational credentials include a Ph.D. in Electrical Sciences and Computer Engineering and a B.S. with Honors in Applied Physics from Brown University and Caltech, respectively.
