Eric Trautmann

Research Scientist

Eric Trautmann is an accomplished researcher with extensive experience in neuroscience, engineering, and machine learning. Trautmann completed a PhD in Neuroscience at Stanford University School of Medicine after earning a BA in Engineering and a BE in Electrical Engineering from Dartmouth College, followed by an MS in Machine Learning and Robotics. Trautmann began professional experience as a Senior Scientist at Physical Sciences Inc., focusing on electronics hardware design and sensor fusion algorithms for various applications. Subsequently, Trautmann held postdoctoral researcher positions at the Howard Hughes Medical Institute and Columbia's Mortimer B. Zuckerman Mind Brain and Behavior Institute, continuing research in advanced neural systems. Currently, Trautmann serves as a Research Scientist at Meta while also holding an Adjunct Professor position at UC Davis Department of Neurological Surgery.
