Farid Katiraei is an accomplished electrical engineer with extensive experience in advanced technology integration and energy storage systems. Since August 2025, Farid has been working at Meta in DEC Engineering focusing on onsite generation and energy storage. Prior to this, from July 2023 to August 2025, Farid served as President of Innoversa and Vice President of Quanta Technology at Quanta Services, Inc. Between April 2008 and August 2023, Farid held the position of Senior Director at Quanta Technology, LLC, overseeing technology integration and microgrids, as well as managing the Sustainable Technology Integration Laboratory in Ontario, Canada. Earlier in the career, Farid worked as a T&D Research Engineer at CETC-V, specializing in grid interconnection and utility impact studies for renewable energy sources. Farid holds a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Toronto, obtained in 2005.
