Fei Sha

Fei Sha is an AI Research Scientist at Meta since October 2025, previously serving as a Research Scientist at Google from April 2019 to October 2025. Fei's academic career includes a tenure as a Professor at the University of Southern California from August 2008 to September 2021, followed by roles as Associate Professor and Assistant Professor at the same institution. Additional experience includes directing research at Netflix from May 2018 to April 2019, consulting for Facebook's AML team from September 2017 to April 2018, and serving as an Associate Professor at UCLA from December 2015 to December 2016. Fei has also worked as a Research Scientist at Yahoo! and completed a postdoctoral fellowship at UC Berkeley. Fei holds a Ph.D. in Computer and Information Science from the University of Pennsylvania and a Master's degree in Biomedical Engineering from Southeast University. Primary research interests focus on the theory and application of machine learning.
