Feng Cai

Feng Cai is a seasoned engineering leader with extensive experience in machine learning and software engineering. Currently, Feng serves as a Senior Engineering Manager at Meta, focusing on enhancing recommendation and relevance for Instagram Reels. Prior to this role, Feng was Senior Manager of Machine Learning Engineering at Snap Inc., overseeing multiple teams and infrastructure for user understanding. At ByteDance, Feng managed four teams within the AI Platform department. Earlier experience includes serving as Tech Lead at Google, directing machine learning initiatives for data loss prevention, and as a Senior Software Engineer leading targeting quality improvements. Feng began a career at Amazon as a Software Engineer, launching a scalable accounting system in India. Feng holds a PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Minnesota and is currently pursuing executive education at Stanford University.
