Grant Sweeney

Grant Sweeney is an accomplished individual with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of Virginia, expected in 2025. Currently serving as a Software Engineer at Meta since July 2025, Grant has previously held the position of Software Engineer Intern at CarMax, where new features were developed for an internal web application, and at REI Systems, contributing to the design of a real-time data streaming pipeline. Additionally, Grant has experience as a CS Head Teaching Assistant at the University of Virginia, providing expert guidance to over 150 students in debugging Java code and delivering engaging lectures to large audiences. As the Professional Development Chair for Theta Tau, Grant designed and facilitated workshops focused on career-building skills, significantly enhancing members' professional profiles and job readiness.
