Hang Yu has extensive experience in software engineering and leadership, beginning with a role as a Support Engineer at Microsoft from July 2012 to March 2014, where development support was provided for Windows CE/WPF. Following this, an internship involved creating a 3D linking game using WPF. Hang Yu then served as a Mobile Engineering Lead at BTCC from April 2014 to February 2015, focusing on hybrid mobile app development for cryptocurrency. At 即刻App, from January 2015 to October 2019, leadership in engineering saw the growth of the team and user engagement from 0 to over 1 million daily active users. After transitioning to Meta, Hang Yu became a Software Engineer from November 2019 to July 2024, contributing to the Instagram Business Client Infra team, and is currently a Software Engineering Manager in the same team since July 2024. Hang Yu holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Fudan University, obtained in 2012.
