Heitor Guimarães

Heitor Guimarães is an accomplished machine learning researcher with a strong background in data science and software development. Currently engaged at the Institut national de la recherche scientifique, Heitor focuses on Representation Learning and Model Compression for Speech Processing. Previous experience includes a data scientist internship at GE Global Research, where algorithm design and implementation for indoor asset location and anomaly detection were key responsibilities. Additionally, Heitor held the position of Senior Data Scientist at Itaú Unibanco and served as a lecturer at Let's Code. Academic qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, a Master's degree in Machine Learning, Speech and Acoustic Signal Processing from the Universidade de São Paulo, and ongoing PhD studies at the Institut national de la recherche scientifique.
