Janis Lazda

Janis Lazda is an experienced public policy professional with a strong background in international trade and economic policy. Notable positions include Director of Government Affairs at Target, where responsibilities encompassed overseeing policy advocacy initiatives related to trade, customs, and sustainability from January 2014 to September 2022. Currently serving as Public Policy Manager at Meta since November 2023, Lazda leads policy responses to tariffs and collaborates with internal partners on trade issues. Previous roles include Senior Policy Advisor and Deputy Chief of Staff for the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative, International Trade and Economic Advisor for the United States Senate Committee on Finance, and Director for Trade and Investment at the National Security Council.
