Jeff Qin is a Principal Software Engineer at Meta since April 2011, focusing on building a fleet Capacity Abstraction to streamline Capacity Planning and Management. Prior to this, Jeff served as R&D Director at Synopsys Inc, overseeing critical aspects of the IC Compiler, including design closure methodologies and leakage recovery tools, resulting in significant product success. Jeff’s career also includes roles as R&D Manager, Staff R&D Engineer, and Senior R&D Engineer at Synopsys, where contributions to Signal Integrity and innovative modeling techniques were made. Jeff holds a Ph.D. and an MS in Computer Science from UC San Diego, and a BS in Computer Science and Technology from Tsinghua University. An internship at Avanti took place during the Ph.D. program.
