Jesse Marshall is an accomplished researcher with a strong background in physics, biology, and neuroscience. Marshall began studies at the University of Chicago, earning a Bachelor of Science in Physics and Mathematics before pursuing a PhD and MS in Physics at Stanford University from 2009 to 2016. During this time, Marshall collaborated with Pfizer on preclinical screening for Parkinson's disease. As a K99/R00 Postdoctoral Fellow at Harvard University from 2016 to 2021, Marshall developed innovative animal tracking methods and a deep learning framework for 3D pose estimation, contributing to publications in Neuron and Nature Methods. Currently, Marshall serves as a Research Scientist at Meta, enhancing augmented and virtual reality through neural interfaces, while also advising on movement tracking solutions for DANNCE.ai, a Harvard and Duke spinout.
