Jiani Wang

Jiani Wang is a software engineer with extensive experience in distributed systems and machine learning. Currently working at Meta as part of the PyTorch Distributed Team, Jiani focuses on large-scale LLM distributed training and modeling diffusion models. Previously at Meta, Jiani contributed to the Instagram Reels Relevance Team, enhancing the recommendation system for Reels. At Bloomberg, Jiani developed a robust data platform and contributed to a low-latency data pipeline. Earlier experience includes a research assistant role at Stanford University, where Jiani worked on an open-source distributed ML training platform, and an internship at Meta, focusing on data pipelines for recommendation systems. Jiani began a career at ByteDance in system and networking management. Jiani holds a Master of Science in Computer Science from Stanford University and a Bachelor of Engineering from Tsinghua University.
