Jianping Lai has extensive experience in software engineering and research within the fields of experimental nuclear astrophysics and quantitative analysis. At Argonne National Laboratory, Jianping led a team that achieved the first direct measurement of a key astrophysical reaction relevant to Type Ia Supernovae and developed software for data calibration and visualization. Subsequent roles included positions at JPMorgan Chase & Co. as a Quantitative Research Associate and as a developer at Chicago Trading Company, followed by software engineering at Google and currently at Meta. Jianping's academic background includes a Bachelor's degree in Engineering Physics from Huazhong University of Science and Technology and a PhD in Experimental Nuclear Astrophysics from Louisiana State University. Additional experience includes teaching and data analysis projects involving advanced algorithms and systems for high-volume datasets at Louisiana State University and the University of Notre Dame.
