John S. Rumsfeld

John S. Rumsfeld, MD, PhD, is the Director of Health Technology Research at Meta Platforms, where they focus on advancing health-related innovations. They have served as the Attending Cardiologist at VA Rocky Mountain Region Health System since 1999 and held various leadership roles at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs between 2009 and 2016. Additionally, they are a Professor of Medicine at the University of Colorado School of Medicine. Rumsfeld's previous experience includes being the Chief Science and Quality Officer and Chief Innovation Officer at the American College of Cardiology, where they developed a long-term innovation agenda for cardiovascular care. They earned their MD from the University of Chicago and a PhD in Epidemiology from the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center.
