Jonathan Lee

Jonathan Lee has a distinguished career in public service and policy, marked by significant roles in various high-profile organizations. Serving at the United States Department of Defense from 2011 to 2013, Jonathan provided critical advice to Deputy Secretaries of Defense and led efforts on the repeal of “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell.” Jonathan's tenure at the National Security Council involved developing policies on human rights within national security contexts. Jonathan later transitioned to McKinsey & Company, where responsibilities included managing public and social sector practices. In recent years, Jonathan has held leadership roles at Meta, currently as Head of Global Policy for WhatsApp and Messaging. Educational credentials include an A.B. from Harvard College, a J.D. from Stanford Law School, and an MPhil from the University of Cambridge.
