Justin Theiss

Justin Theiss is an accomplished researcher with extensive experience in machine learning and vision science. Justin held the position of Research Scientist and Machine Learning Researcher at Meta from September 2021 to January 2023. Prior to this, Justin completed a PhD in Vision Science at the University of California, Berkeley, where dissertation research focused on deep generative models to investigate perception and attention in the visual cortex within a hierarchical Bayesian inference framework. Experience also includes serving as a Machine Learning Associate at AI.Reverie and a Research Analyst at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where Justin managed research studies and analyzed MRI data. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Science in Pre-Medicine Psychology from Belmont University.
