Kai Luo

Kai Luo is an experienced AI/HPC Systems Engineer at Meta since January 2021, specializing in building large-scale hardware systems for ads and generative AI, focusing on performance tuning, diagnostic pipeline design, and networking integration. Prior to Meta, Kai held various positions at Cisco from April 2010 to January 2021, including Technical Leader, Technical Lead Manager, and Senior Software Engineer, contributing to the development and diagnostic architecture of Nexus switching systems. Earlier career experience includes roles at Alcatel-Lucent Shanghai Bell as a Test Development Engineer and as a Machine Learning Intern at the Chinese Academy of Sciences, where a Chinese/Mongolia NLP/translation system was developed. Kai holds a Master's degree in Pattern Recognition and Intelligent Systems from the University of Science and Technology of China.
