Kevin Luk is an experienced research scientist with a strong background in machine learning, mathematics, and education. From May 2017 to October 2019, Kevin worked at Borealis AI as a Machine Learning Researcher, focusing on applied and fundamental research, including the development of an AutoML system. Prior to that, Kevin served as a Course Coordinator and Instructor at the University of Toronto, teaching various mathematics courses and acting as a teaching assistant. Kevin currently holds the position of Staff Research Scientist at Meta since March 2021, addressing content integrity and monetization challenges while leading teams across multiple functions. Additional experience includes a role as Staff AI Research Scientist at LG Electronics and a Graduate Student Researcher position at the University of Pennsylvania. Kevin earned a Ph.D. in Mathematics from the University of Toronto and a B.Sc. in Honours Mathematics from the University of British Columbia.
