Laura McGorman

Laura McGorman has extensive experience in data science, analytics, and policy advocacy across various sectors. At The World Bank, Laura led a research project to boost female entrepreneurship in male-dominated fields, managing a team and mobilizing over 250 entrepreneurs. Laura's role as a Senior Program Analyst at USAID involved advocating for global policy reforms that significantly increased resources for Community Case Management initiatives. At Meta, Laura directs the Data for Good initiative, overseeing projects that leverage data for social impact. Previous positions include leadership roles at Opower, where Laura improved software practices and customer experiences, and at the U.S. Department of Commerce, driving access to government datasets. Laura holds a BA in Economics-Political Science from Columbia University and an MPA/ID in Development Economics from Harvard University Kennedy School of Government.
