Lifeng Wang

Lifeng Wang is a seasoned Machine Learning Engineer at Meta since May 2022, focusing on developing machine learning solutions for Ads ranking. Previously, Lifeng served as an Assistant Professor at Michigan State University from August 2008 to September 2013, conducting significant research in boosting and Support Vector Machine methods, while publishing in peer-reviewed journals and securing two National Science Foundation grants. Prior experience includes roles as a Research Associate at the University of Pennsylvania, where Lifeng improved predictions of gene expression levels, and at JPMorgan Chase & Co., progressing from Vice President of Quantitative Modeling to Executive Director of Applied AI/ML, leading teams in fraud risk and prevention models. Lifeng holds a PhD in Statistics from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities and a BS in Mathematical Statistics and Probability from Peking University.
