Maria Ruiz is an experienced AI Product Designer currently serving as the AI Product Design Lead for Meta’s Fundamental AI Research (FAIR) team, where the focus is on designing learning experiences in augmented and mixed reality. Previously, Maria held roles at Meta, including creating augmented and virtual reality experiences and generative AI experiences for creators. Other notable experiences include working as a UX Researcher for Gulfstream Aerospace and serving as a Software Design Intern at IBM. Additionally, Maria has interned at Facebook as an AI Product Design Intern and worked as a UX Designer for Volvo Cars. Maria holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in User Experience Design from the Savannah College of Art and Design, completed in 2021.
