Matt Anderson is an experienced software engineering manager with a strong background in internet data collection, network mapping, and security. Anderson began at Expanse in 2015, initially as a software engineer and later as an engineering manager, overseeing the development of platform capabilities for the Expanse Global Internet Sensing Platform. Following roles at Meta and Material Security, Anderson led teams focused on phishing protection and detection, implementing advanced AI/ML techniques. Anderson also gained valuable experience as a software engineer intern at Google and as an intern at the Executive Office of the President, contributing to open data initiatives. Educationally, Anderson holds a Master of Science in Computer Science from Stanford University.
