Beginning at Stanford University as a Data Engineer for the Mars Global Surveyor Project, Matt transitioned to Google, where as Director of Software Engineering, contributions included significant advancements in storage, indexing, and photo/video processing systems. Subsequently, at Facebook, Matt served as Senior Director of Engineering, overseeing a large team and expanding the Ads Infrastructure organization tenfold over four years. Currently, as Vice President of Monetization Infrastructure, Ranking & AI Foundations at Meta, responsibilities involve supporting a 2000-person team dedicated to developing critical infrastructure and AI technologies for the business.
