Mauricio Romano

Mauricio Romano is an experienced industrial designer specializing in consumer hardware, particularly in augmented and virtual reality. Since October 2018, Mauricio has been with Meta, pioneering AR/VR consumer hardware after serving as an industrial designer at Oculus VR, where contributions were made to the next generation of virtual reality products. Prior experience includes founding Aura Accessories, which focuses on creating hardware for modern smokers, and working at Astro Studios to design brand experiences that resonate with popular culture. Earlier roles include an internship at Intel Corporation, where design work encompassed various electronic products. Mauricio holds a BS in Industrial Design from Western Washington University.
