Max Heiber

Max Heiber has extensive experience in both education and software engineering. Beginning as an instructor at Montgomery College and later at Howard University, University of Maryland, and Johns Hopkins University, Max developed and delivered courses in various subjects, including philosophy and logic. In the software engineering domain, Max has held senior roles at Bloomberg LP, Slate Magazine, EPAM Systems, and Data Meaning, focusing on full-stack development, build tools, and innovative product design. Currently, Max works at Meta, contributing to the Hack Language Team and WhatsApp Erlang Team, where significant projects include developing a type checker for Erlang. Max holds multiple degrees, including a Master of Science in Computer Science from Georgia Institute of Technology and a Master's degree in Philosophy from the University of Maryland College Park.
