Ping Yu

Ping Yu is a Research Scientist at Meta, with prior experience as a Research Intern at Facebook AI (FAIR), Amazon, Tencent America, and PlayStation. At Facebook AI, Ping Yu developed a sparse language model and evaluated it on multiple tasks. During the internship at Amazon, a multilingual language model for Alexa was created, while at PlayStation, a physics-based character motion animation system was developed utilizing imitation learning. In addition, at Tencent America, a document summarization system addressing noisy game forum data was designed. Educationally, Ping Yu holds a PhD in Computer Science from the University at Buffalo, a Master of Science in Computer Engineering from the University of Michigan, and a Bachelor of Engineering in Automation from Central South University, where top academic distinctions were achieved.
