Qifan Wang

Qifan Wang holds a PhD in Computer Science from Purdue University and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Tsinghua University. Experience includes positions as a Research Engineer at Intel Labs, focusing on machine learning and computer vision, and at Google, where Qifan led a team in developing innovative NLP-based document representation models. Qifan also interned at LinkedIn, contributing to multimodal learning for news article recommendation, and at Google, working on Wiberg Optimization for Multiple Instance Learning. Currently, Qifan serves as a Research Scientist and Uber Tech Lead at Meta, overseeing teams in Ranking and Recommendation, and advancing User and Content Understanding models using state-of-the-art NLP, vision, and deep learning techniques.
