Renee Forney

Renee Forney, CISSP, currently serves as the Deputy CISO and Head of Fintech Governance, Risk and Compliance at Meta, a position held since March 2022. Concurrently, Renee is an Adjunct Professor at Morehouse College since August 2020. Prior experience includes roles as Senior Director at Microsoft, overseeing Azure Hardware Systems & Infrastructure Security and Cognitive AI Services, and as Senior Director of Cyber Assurance at Capital One, focusing on cyber governance and risk management. Renee also has a background as CEO of Forney Group LLC and Executive Managing Director at Equinoxys, Inc., emphasizing leadership in Cyber Workforce and Enterprise Risk Management. Earlier roles span Deputy CIO of Cybersecurity at the U.S. Department of Energy and Executive Director for the DHS CyberSkills Management Support Initiative. Educational qualifications include executive education in Mergers & Acquisitions from Columbia Business School and a Master’s in Engineering Management from The George Washington University, alongside an Honorary Doctorate from Champlain College and a Bachelor's in Computer Information Systems from DeVry University.
