Safiya Samms has extensive experience in technical program management and product development, highlighted by leadership roles at Meta from June 2015 to the present. Initially serving as Technical Program Manager and later as Manager of Technical Program Management, Safiya led initiatives for Workrooms and the Virtual Reality Product Foundation. Currently, as Senior Product Manager, Safiya oversees VR Accessibility and develops strategy for Meta Quest’s Virtual Reality Operating System. Prior experience includes a role as Game Developer at Sassy Games, financial analysis for Google's Geo division, and product marketing management at Leaf Holdings. Safiya holds an MBA in Management and a B.S. in Accounting from Bentley University and serves on the board of governors for The Minster Junior School, promoting children's development in Croydon.
