Samuel Hsia is an accomplished researcher with extensive experience in artificial intelligence and machine learning. Currently serving as a Research Scientist at Meta since September 2024, Samuel focuses on enabling efficient training and serving of large-scale deep learning models. Prior to this role, Samuel worked as a Graduate Research Assistant at Harvard University and participated in the SRC Research Scholars Program. Additional roles include IEEE Princeton University Undergraduate Chapter President, where Samuel organized academic panels, and Head Undergraduate Teaching Assistant in Electrical and Computer Engineering at Princeton University. Samuel also contributed as a Research Mentor at Try AI, supporting underrepresented undergraduate students, and held positions as a Student Researcher and Visiting Researcher at Meta. Samuel earned a Master of Science and is currently pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy in Computer Science at Harvard University, having previously obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from Princeton University, graduating Magna Cum Laude.
