Savinay Nagendra

Savinay Nagendra (Ph.D.) is a Research Scientist at Meta, with a focus on machine learning and multimodal LLMs for video understanding. Previously, Savinay served as a Ph.D. student and Research Assistant at Penn State University, where responsibilities included teaching undergraduate courses and conducting research in computer science. Experience spans a variety of roles, including machine learning engineering and research scientist positions at prominent companies such as SLB and Google, specializing in areas like computer vision, spatial prompt engineering, and reinforcement learning. Educational qualifications include a Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering and a Master’s degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Penn State University, alongside a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from PES University.
