Shijun Wang

Shijun Wang is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in engineering and machine learning. Between October 2014 and February 2017, Shijun worked as a Staff Engineer at Alibaba.com, leading the development of an online advertisement system for traffic scheduling and control. Prior to that, Shijun held the titles of Staff Scientist and Postdoctoral Fellow at the National Institutes of Health, contributing to projects focused on optimizing the area under the ROC curve for binary classification systems. Since February 2017, Shijun has served as a Machine Learning Engineering Manager at Ant Group, spearheading the creation of a time-series forecasting algorithm platform, while also currently working as a Software Engineer in Machine Learning at Meta since May 2022. Shijun holds a Ph.D. in Pattern Recognition and Intelligent Systems from Tsinghua University, a Master's degree in Communication from the Second Aerospace Science Academy in China, and a Bachelor's Degree in Electronic Engineering from Beihang University.
