Simon Zhu is an experienced technology leader with a strong background in engineering and management. Currently serving as Senior Director of Engineering at Meta since January 2013, Simon has played key roles in business messaging and Facebook monetization, contributing to the development of Facebook for business and commerce. Prior to Meta, Simon worked at Synopsys from July 2005 to January 2013 as a Staff R&D Engineer and Senior R&D Engineer. Simon holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from UC San Diego, a Master’s degree in Management Science and Engineering from Stanford University, and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Tsinghua University.
