Skyler Wang

Skyler Wang is an accomplished sociologist with extensive experience in research and academia. Currently serving as an Assistant Professor of Sociology at McGill University, Skyler has held positions such as Research Scientist at Meta and Head of Research at Grove. Significant contributions include work as a Research Fellow at the Diverse Intelligences Summer Institute and a Visiting Professor at AI Singapore. Prior roles include instructing at the University of California, Berkeley, and conducting research at the Community-Based Research Centre and the Canadian Institute for Advanced Research. Skyler holds a PhD in Sociology from the University of California, Berkeley, as well as an MA and an Honors BA in Sociology from the same institution and the University of British Columbia, respectively. As of October 2024, Skyler also serves as the Chief Ethics Officer at Thinking About Thinking, Inc.
